Mamora Keeps Mum Over Talks Of Rejecting Buhari’s “Belittling” Appointment

Former Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora is maintaining sealed lips.

And in doing this, the former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly is taking care about who he talks with and who talks with him at this period.

Mamora is doused with talks of rejecting President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent appointment as the Chairman of the Abuja Investment and Infrastructure Centre.

The former lawmaker is alleged to have turned down the appointment because it was ‘’belittling ‘’ considering his contribution to the emergence of Buhari as President.

Mamora was the Deputy Director-General of the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation during the 2015 presidential election.

He got the ‘’rejected appointment’’ after he was initially penned down as Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority and later as an Ambassador but was outplayed out of the positions by powerful interests.

Emerging details have it that the former lawmaker met with representatives of the president and expressed his displeasure with the post he was eventually given compared to what others who played the lesser part in the president’s campaign got.

But since the news of his rejection broke – weeks after Ondo gubernatorial aspirant Jumoke Ajasin Anifowoshe was sworn into the rejected position – Mamora has kept sealed lips on what actually went down, screening and shunning calls in the process.
