Insiders Insist Osinbajo Still In “Presidential Race” & Provide Reasons – Despite V,P’s “Not On The Cards Comment”

Die-hard backers of vice President Yemi Osinbajo says his hugely celebrated “not on the cards” comment does not rule him out of the desire to emerge as “president”.

Those with very deep conviction in this “ambition” had launched an unauthorised campaign for the Vice President but the nation’s number two man advised such move be disregarded.

He followed up with a “none of that is on the cards” comment – as the rumour of a presidential bid grew thicker – when asked publicly by reporters last week.

But an insider in political circle and keen watcher of events – but not a part of the campaign – disclosed “the decision is beyond him and you need to understand the mindset of people backing him to discern that”.

According to disclosure made to societynow , the majority of the backers of the “presidential ambition” of the Vice President who is a pastor at the Redeemed Christin Church of God are “people of faith”.

“They are prayer people, people who believe in the divine…they continue to pray for him and put action to their prayers with the conviction, if it is divined that he becomes the President of Nigeria…then just like a way was created for the Israelites on the Red Sea, a way would be created for Osinbajo to mount the throne” the source stated.

And stated further “this line of thinking is further fueled by the divine interpretation given to how he became Vice President in the first place…he was named when it was least expected and emerged against all odds. He was the one with the least or no political structure amongst all those who jostled to become the Vice President and here we are…and even in office, situations constantly arise that give him room to show his competence …all these are what is fueling his Presidential ambition and make the decision to run or not beyond him in the minds of his backers”.

More digs by societynow revealed even the “none of that is on the cards” comment by Osinbajo hugely reported as denial is being interpreted differently by Osinbajo’s backers.

“He said none of that is on the cards, that is an open statement susceptible to change…he is a man of faith, he knows better, that regarding ambition, aspiration and upliftment there is no limitation with faith…so he has left the possibility open with his answers that if it is written, so be it…but since he personally is not working towards such, he rightly answered none of that is on the cards meaning not on the cards for now’’ is how the vice president reportedly denial is being interpreted by his backers.
