Fear In Edo Over Alleged Influx Of Wreckers From Niger Delta In Fierce Guber Fight

Emerging details have it that there is a growing fear in Edo State.

And it has roots in allegation of an influx of wreckers – perpetrators of violence – ahead of the September 19 Edo State Gubernatorial election.

Societynow.n learned that the talks are spreading fast that there is an increasing presence of hired thugs, particularly from the Niger Delta region in Edo State.

Mojeed Jamiu, publisher and political analyst gave credence to these talks when he featured on Friday, August 7, 2020 edition of Journalists Hang Out aired on Television Station, TVC.

‘’They are bringing in mercenaries from Niger Delta’’ Jamiu stated.

He, however, did not point an accusing finger at anybody or political party as the culprit.

The Edo 2020 Gubernatorial election scheduled sees old adversaries Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Godwin Obaseki switching political parties as they square up at the polls once again.

It also sees former Governor Adams Oshiomhole fighting the political battle of his life as he changes allegiance from Obaseki to Ize-Iyamu.
