Family Plans General Prayer For 47yr Old Female Accountant Who Committed Suicide
on Saturday
The family of Afolake Noimot Abiola, the 47year old female accountant who committed suicide last weekend plan to hold a general prayer in her honor.
The event is scheduled for Oba Isyiyemi Hall, Olota of Ota Palace, Ota Ogun State on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
The deceased’s brother Abiodun Abiola announced the details of the planned prayer along with a touching tribute that provides better insight into the tragedy.

“Noimot , we know what your battles were and we know how well you fought and wished you could overcome them. Even some prophets of God were misunderstood and judged wrongly , so there is no point trying to justify your action. You were an Amazon, despite the heavy burden you carried all your life , you were able to carve a niche for yourself. You epitomised the uprightness our father preached to us all his life . If truly the dead do meet in the life after, I am sure mum and dad despite your coming too early would have hugged you for a good representation. I am prouder of you in death than when you were even alive my sister. Adieu Afolake.” Abiodun Abiola wrote as a tribute to his sister.
The sister described as a “single lady” killed herself by drinking a pesticide.
Noimot Afolake Abiola who worked at a high-profile telecommunication company was buried the same day.
Her death attributed to “prolonged depression” has drawn more attention to issues of mental health and its repercussions.
