Ex Minister, Sam Odey’s Guber Campaign Crashes Against Lack Of Fund Talks!
The frenzy that flagged off awareness creation for the gubernatorial ambition of former minister, Sam Odey in Benue state has waned greatly.
And insiders attribute this development to talks of lack funds buffeting against the movement.
Sources claim even in the face of widespread consultations home and abroad that embolden loyalists to hit town with his ambition- and recruit more supporters to the cause, the former Niger Delta minister did not encourage followers conviction with ‘commiserate funding’.
According to an insider ‘ Odey’s attitude with mobilising border’s on the apprehension of some one with second thoughts about what he is doing…and it wasn’t long before this sentiment riddled the ranks of his supporters and fizzled out the passion to the current state’
Watchers of the unfolding occurrence analysed that the dripple funding that was unable to match supporters frenzy sparked off talks of lack of fund that took the wind off the campaign.
Those who claim to know however assert that, the Benue state guber aspirant is however not deterred with the fizzled passion of his supporters to the cause.
He is labelled still neck deep in consultations and negotiations with stakeholders to ensure he emerged the People’s Democratic Party’s flag bearer in the upcoming contest.
The informants further claim the yet to be nailed down support of influential stakeholder and senate president, David Mark ( also from the same state) part of the reasons for the aspirants extra care with releasing fund.
What is however foggy is whether he would be able to get the ticket with his approach. And if he does, be able to wipe up the kind of support and followers conviction that appears greatly waned.
