Details: EFCC Interrogates Embattled Lagos Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa’s Family Members

Emerging details have it that the dragnet of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is getting tighter around Mudashiru Obasa, the embattled speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Societynow.ng gathered that the anti-corruption agency is also investigating one of Obasa’s wives and has invited and interrogated her.

Insiders disclosed that one of Obasa’s children has also been invited and grilled by EFCC.

Insiders insist that Obasa’s family members were invited and grilled before Obasa appeared before investigators at the commission’s office.

Sources disclosed the answers provided by family members, aides, and agents of Obasa as well as findings from independent investigations carried out by the commission formed the bulk of questions thrown at Obasa when he appeared.

‘’It is an extensive and all-encompassing investigation that is being carried out on the Speaker’’ according to a source.

Obasa is facing myriad allegations themed on diversion of public funds, inflation of expenses, and general abuse of office.

The investigation nearly earned him detention at the EFCC facility when he appeared before the commission based on the discrepancies between his answers and findings at the disposal of the agency.
