Details: Dapo Abiodun, Sanwo-Olu Battle Same “Trouble”

The Governors of Ogun and Lagos states are battling the same political trouble.

61yr old Abiodun and Sanwo-Olu,56, are decorated with the same re-election talks.

The talks in political circles are that they would only serve a single term in office.

According to those behind these talks, the “agreement” was struck in exchange for the support that brought them to power.

The support that brought the Governors to power came from the same source- the political structure with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu firmly in charge SocietyNow.Ng learned.

But the two governors’ performances in office have given them leverage to try “tweak’ the “agreement” according to the talks in political circles.

They are said to have performed beyond the expectations of their backers.

Though sources insist Abiodun appears to be in a better position than Sanwo-Olu to flip the coin SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Sanwo-Olu came to power on the strength of completing the “allotted slot” of a region and satisfying a major religious expectation.

The religious divide and other regions in line to produce the next Governor of Lagos state are pushing hard against his re-election.

Abiodun on the other hand is said to be “better positioned” to get the “term limiting agreement”tweaked and secure a second term.

He represents the proper religious and regional sentiments that should produce the next Governor of Ogun State.

But the talks “an agreement” that will limit him to a single term refuse to go away.

Added to the mix for the Ogun state Governor is the established belief that he faces strong opposition from the splinter group within his party led by his fiercest opponent, Ibikunle Amosun.

Both Sanwo-Olu and Abiodun belong to the same political party- All Progressives Congress (APC).
