This year – 2018 – in a move that smacks of unpleasant New Year gift, another high number was cut off.

But unlike last year’s action, the latest workers sack attracted widespread attention and condemnation.

And the reason is simple, the latest staffers disengagement by the communication company with billionaire Mike Adenuga as chairman targeted married women.

And the victims turned it into a “gender issue” and has been attracting tons of condemnation on and offline.

This is despite denial from “people” inside Globacom confirming workers were sacked but insisting it was basically as a result of “performance”.

” Many of those that were sacked certainly didn’t see it coming, a larger percentage see selves as performing wonderfully well on the job, some of the names shocked not a few of their colleagues.

“All these have created a bit of apprehension amongst the remaining workers because of the fear of uncertainty that has now taken over the place” a source provided insight.
