Clandestine Payoff Deal Talks Decorate Guber Aspirants Timi Alaibe & Timpre Sylvia In Battle To Become Bayelsa APC Flag Bearer

Leading aspirants in the upcoming Bayelsa state gubernatorial election, Timi Alaibe and Timpre Sylvia are currently decorated with talks of an ongoing pay off deal.

Information filtering in revealed the two camps are attempting to pay off one another.

Both Sylvia and Alaibe belong to the same political party, All Progressives Congress.

But Silva who is a former governor of the state is believed to be more entrenched politically in the party than recent defector Alaibe.

Both were former members of the party in control of the government of the state, People’s Democratic Party.

Up for grabs that has pitched them against one another is the gubernatorial ticket of the APC in Bayelsa state.

The battle for who go goes against the re election seeking Seriake Dickoson as APC flag bearer as seen Alaibe and Sylva publicly go against one another.

Sylva and his crew had raised alarm over Alaibe’s alleged name dropping and constant claims of supports from political heavy weights in and out of the state to raise funds and mobilise for supports.

Fresh revelations however claim if the latest twist goes according to plan the days of intra party opposition between the two camps may soon be over.

Insiders alleged Alaibe is offering to offset the cost of Sylvia;s campaigns till date- along with chance of allowing him name self or any support to occupy the ministerial slot earmarked for the state.

And the assurances of appointing certain numbers of nominated candidates by Sylvia for commissionership slots if he becomes governor of Bayelsa state.

Sylva is said to be have received the offer and looking for ways to turn the table by tabling a better offer to Alaibe to step down for him.

Further revelation has it, power brokers within the APC back the ongoing negotiation between the two aspirants.

‘if they can work out their differences and secure each other’s support…it will brood well for all and booster the chance of the party unseating Governor Dickson’ a source explained.
