Akeredolu Yet To Resume After End Of Annual Leave

Seven days after his annual leave ended, Governor of Ondo State Rotimi Akeredolu is yet to officially resume.
The Governor commenced what he described as the “first installment of his 2023 annual leave” on April 3, 2023.
The leave which saw him transmit power to Deputy Governor Lukcy Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for 15 days through a letter to the State House of Assembly and addressed to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun ended on April 25, 2023.
He is celebrating the vacation with his wife Betty Anyawu – Akeredolu.

The couple celebrated their 42 years of marriage while on vacation – April 18, 2023.
The Governor was scheduled to resume duties on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, but he is yet to.
No reason has been given for the development.
Governor Akeredolu was represented at this year’s Workers’ Day celebration, where he was awarded the “Most Workers’ Friendly Governor”, by Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties, Mr. Dare Aragbaiye.
The award was bestowed on the Governor by Workers in Ondo State under the umbrella of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).
The Award was in appreciation of Governor Akeredolu immense contribution and unflinching support to the welfare of workers in the state according to the NLC Chairman, Comrade Victor Oladele Amoko and his TUC counterpart, Comrade Clement Fatuase.
