Taiwo Awoniyi will face Iwobi for the first time in an EPL encounter on Saturday, 20 August 2022. The clash between these two Nigerian stars will be streamed live on Showmax Pro, courtesy of SuperSport, as they both dig their feet on the ground to secure a win for their respective clubs.

A late-minute goal just before the end of halftime by Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi fired Nottingham Forest to their first English Premier League home win in 23 years. It was an action-packed match between newly promoted Nottingham Forest and West Ham United. The goal from Awoniyi, who was signed from Union Berlin for a club record deal of £17 million, was enough to decide the match. It was an impressive performance from the striker and with his outstanding full debut, the 25-year-old is expected to replicate such a master-class when he faces his Nigerian teammate Alex Iwobi.

Everton FC is yet to secure their first EPL win in the 2022/2022 season. In their last match against Aston Villa, Lampard’s team succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at Villa Park. But Frank Lampard, who was appointed head coach on January 31, 2022, is determined to turn things around after narrowly escaping relegation last season.

Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers in an early kick-off at 12:30 PM WAT. The drama Tottenham’s coach Antonio Conte brings on the sideline will be missing as the Italian is facing a match ban after his face-off with Chelsea’s head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Still on Saturday, Leicester City will welcome Southampton at King Power Stadium (3:00 PM WAT), and Brenfort will travel to Craven Cottage after Thomas Frank’s side subdued Manchester United to a humiliating four goals to nothing last week. Leicester will be desperate for a maximum point after failing to secure a win in their two matches. Iheanacho, who was brought in at 70th-minute, was unable to find the back of the net amidst several attempts in their last match against Arsenal on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Leicester lost 4-2 to Arsenal, with Arsenal’s new signing Gabriel Jesus netting twice in the encounter. The Brazilian who moved to Arsenal from Manchester City on a £45 million deal is expected to continue his goal campaign when Mikel Arteta’s team travels to Vitality Stadium to face AFC Bournemouth.

Sunday’s game will begin with a match between Leeds United and Chelsea. A dramatic equalizer in the 96th minute deprived the Blues of maximum point in their last EPL game. With head coach Tuchel suspended, assistant coach Zsolt Low is expected to be on the sideline as Chelsea aims to return to winning ways. At the same time, West Ham United will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion after their disappointing loss last week. Sunday’s game will wrap up with an encounter between Newcastle United and Manchester City.

EPL week three will close with a crucial match between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford. United’s new coach, Erik Ten Hag, is yet to secure his first EPL win after much expectation from the former Ajax manager. A 2-1 defeat in his first EPL game followed by a humiliating 4-nil against Brentford last week has drawn criticism not only to the manager but to the club’s directors. As they face their age-long rivals, some fans have called for a boycott with the hashtag EmptyOldTrafford trending on Twitter. But Liverpool has not been impressive as well, having failed to secure a win. However, the season is still fresh and Jurgen Klopp will no doubt love to return to winning ways. New signing Darwin Nunez will miss Monday’s game after he was sent out of the pitch on a straight red. With Nunez out, Klopp might have to start Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino.

It will be the 210 times Manchester United will be facing Liverpool and the much-anticipated encounter will be live on Showmax Pro.
