He has written to a national newspaper – through his lawyers – to substantiate or retract and issue a ‘’prominent’’ apology for publishing weighty allegations of corruption credited to former ruling party spokesperson Timi Frank against him.

The publisher of the national newspaper is said to have instituted behind the scene overtures to make peace.

Multiple sources interpreted the move by Osinbajo.
