Nigerian Air Force Takes Delivery Of Two New H125 helicopters
newly acquired H125 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters.
The Nigerian Air Force has continued to evolve its rotary-wing capability with the formal acceptance of two newly acquired H125 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters.
The milestone was marked on 2 October 2026 at 355 Rotary Wing, Ikeja, Lagos, where the Aircraft Acceptance Documents were formally signed by the Commander, 643 Equipment Supply Depot, Air Commodore E Akintunde, on behalf of the Chief of Logistics, Headquarters NAF, and a senior representative of Airbus Helicopters.
The acceptance of the two helicopters, which were reassembled in-house with Airbus technical support, adds further capacity to the NAF fleet and strengthens its ability to provide responsive air support when and where required.
The process reflects NAF’s adherence to internationally recognised best practices in aircraft acquisition, reinforcing the professional standards, operational integrity and capability-driven approach required for effective airpower projection.
