2027: ADC Unveils 38 Candidates For Osun Senate, Reps, Assembly Seats

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has unveiled 38 candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly seats ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party presented candidates for the three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies and all 26 State House of Assembly constituencies in the state.

For the Senate, the candidates are Hon. Akeem Olaoye for Osun Central, Senator Adelere Oriolowo for Osun West and Babatunde Olaniyi Loye for Osun East.

The party’s nine House of Representatives candidates include Akinlabi Olusegun for Ifedayo/Ila/Boluwaduro; Barrister Olayinka Oyefusi for Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin; Taofeek Arogundade for Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun; and Hon. Tajudeen Ajagbe for Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo.

Others are Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi for Iwo/Olaoluwa/Ayedire; Bolarinwa Ibraheem for Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan; Hon. Sikiru Ayedun for Ife North/Ife East/Ife Central/Ife South; Olowu Sunday for Obokun/Oriade; and Ajibola E. Oladimeji for Ijesa South.

The party also named candidates for all 26 State House of Assembly constituencies, covering the entire state.

Announcing the candidates, ADC said the move was aimed at providing Osun voters with an alternative in the 2027 elections.

The party urged residents to “take note of the candidates and support them in the effort to provide a brighter, more prosperous and progressive future for the state.”

It expressed confidence in the candidates, saying they represented “a new opportunity for quality representation, purposeful leadership and a stronger democratic future for the people of Osun State.”

The party’s publicity secretary, Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, who signed the statement dated August 31, 2026, said the candidates were ready to offer purposeful representation at the various legislative levels.

The unveiling gives the ADC a full slate of legislative candidates across Osun State as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections.
