Emerging details reveal it is wrong to credit singer with huge following Olamide – Olamide Adedeji – with ownership of the increasingly popular Shaku Shaku dance.

Shaku Shaku is the rave street dance with own peculiar sounds.

Increasing number of musicians are catching in on the trend to churn out hit songs.

Checks, however, revealed that contrary to widespread conviction immensely popular singer Olamide is not the creator of Shaku Shaku.

“He just keyed in on it just like every other singer but he was one of the early singers to do that and the kind of following he enjoys brought such a huge attention to Shaku Shaku that many thought he created it…no, he didn’t” a source stated emphatically.

Checks revealed Shaku Shaku actually originated from one of the hoods of Lagos, Agege.

“It is a backstreet dance from Agege…it’s peculiar sound is the signature tune of musicians from that part of town, as well as the dance” a source explained.

Though established by multiple sources as originating from Agege, it is not clear who actually created Shaku Shaku.

“I think it is just one of the dance steps and sounds borne out of hyper entertainment that just catches on amongst those of the area and now blown beyond expectations” a source opined.
