Defeated APC Presidential Aspirant, Rochas Okorocha Retrieves Party’s Imo Guber Ticket From Fill Gap Son In Law, Uche Nwosu

Defeated All Progressives Party Presidential aspirant, Rochas Okorocha has retrieved the party’s gubernatorial ticket from his fill the gap candidate, Uche Nwosu – his son in law.

Ahead the contest for the Presidential candidate of the APC which he lost out to General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), the incumbent governor of Imo state had positioned his son in law as the state’s gubernatorial flag bearer.

The party had secretly adopted his daughter’s husband as Imo APC gubernatorial candidate.

The move was an attempt at playing at fair play, not to be seen at clutching at a fall back position while he sought higher office sources confirm.

Follow up events later confirmed the action for all it was – just for the show.

Seeing the handwriting of his defeat on the walls, Okorocha had quickly summoned the state party machinery in his grip to revert back the Imo Gubernatorial party ticket to himself.

His temporary holder son in law, Uche Nwosu had withdrawn as a candidate – and the defeated Presidential aspirant’s name submitted as replacement.

And the party Electoral committee led by Mr John Alamba ratified the change.

Nwosu had cited ‘personal and family reasons’ in withdrawing his candidature for his father in law to seek re election.

Okorocha came fourth in a pool of 5 contestants in his failed bid to become his party’s presidential candidate.
