Wanted Oil Baron Kola Aluko Fingered To Be Hiding In Turkey As Added Trouble Of $25,000 Tax Debt To City Of New York Emerges

Kola Aluko, the Oil baron wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for is believed to be holed up in Turkey.

His mobile home, the 213-foot yacht, the Galactica Star was was spotted in Cancun last year, and may now be berthed in Turkey according to The New York Post.

This development comes in the wake of reports of a $25,000 tax debt to the city of New York Hanging on the neck of the troubled oil man.

The tax debt is said to be over a 79th floor penthouse at One57, Manhattan acquired by Aluko for $51million in 2014.

It has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, 6,240 square feet, sweeping views of Central Park — and a past-due $25,000 property tax bill

And that is even with the benefit of a 421a partial tax exemption that knocked down what would have been an annual tax bill of $250,000 to $50,000 The New York Post reported

The troubled Oil Baron is the subject of an ongoing extensive corruption investigation by anti graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Moves were made to freeze his assets but investigators couldn’t find him to serve him court papers.
He remains elusive while his partner Jide Omokore believed to have pulled under the table mega deals with him in concert with under probe ex petroleum minister, Diezani Allison Madueke is undergoing trial for charges of corruption.
