Lagos Set to Rock as Luxe XXXV Hosts Independence Party With Oprah Band
Lagos is set for an Independence Day celebration of music and entertainment as Luxe XXXV (LUXE 35) hosts a live band party featuring the Oprah Band on Thursday, October 1.

The event, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., will take place at Luxe XXXV, 35 Oyemekun Street, Ogba, Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos, as guests gather to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day in a relaxed entertainment setting.

The celebration is expected to combine live music, nightlife and hospitality, with the Oprah Band billed as the live act for the evening.

Luxe XXXV has in recent months emerged as a hospitality and lifestyle destination in the heart of Lagos state, Ikeja – and, its environs, offering accommodation, dining, bar and lounge services, as well as facilities for entertainment and private events.

The venue has hosted a number of leisure and entertainment engagements, including its talk-of-the-town Valentine celebration, Itunnu Awe Dance, Eid Soiree and Big Match Drama events, featuring live music, a resident DJ, poolside entertainment, food and drinks.

Beyond entertainment, Luxe XXXV also hosted an investment summit for teenagers and youths in August 2026, reflecting its use for both social and corporate gatherings.

The October 1 party adds another entertainment event to the venue’s growing calendar as Lagos joins celebrations marking Nigeria’s Independence Day.

Guests have been advised that the event is restricted to persons aged 18 and above.
